Pasta with Swiss Chard

Pasta with Swiss Chard

Whenever I eat swiss chard, kale, or a leafy green I genuinely feel healthier. Pairing swiss chard with pasta is one of the most satisfying dishes to make. Swiss chard is part of the beet family. You can eat the leaves and the stems but they require different cooking times. You’ll LOVE this!

It also takes under 30 minutes :D

Saute an onion for 10 minutes on low heat and continue to stir.

Wash your swiss chard (I use a salad spinner, they can be dirty) Separate the leaves from the stems. Chop up the stems and add them to cook with the onions for another 10 minutes.

Cook your pasta in salty water.

Add the swiss chard leaves, chopped garlic (if you like) and a little pasta water.

Scoop your pasta directly from the boiling water into the swiss chard.

Remove from the heat. Add grated parmesan cheese, red chili pepper flakes, salt, and more pasta water if needed.
